مضَى/ مضَى على/ مضَى في يَمضِي، امْضِ، مُضِيًّا، فهو ماضٍ، والمفعول مَمْضِيّ عليه

ذهب، ابتعد

To go, to move away

• ذهب بدون انتباه ولا مبالاة
• مضى فلانٌ بسبيله/ مضى فلانٌ لسبيله : انصرف، أو مات
• مضى قُدُمًا : لم يعرّج ولم ينثنِ، واصل.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• To go without attention or care
• So-and-so went on his way / So-and-so went to his way: departed, or died
• Proceeded forward: did not hesitate or turn back, continued.

خلا وذهب، انقضى، انصرف

🇬🇧 Translation:

Has passed and gone, elapsed, departed

فيما مضَى : في وقت سابق، في الزمن الماضي.

🇬🇧 Translation:

In the past: at a previous time, in past times.

نفَذ، أجاز، استمرّ

🇬🇧 Translation:

To be valid, to authorize, to continue

ماض فينا حكمُه، عدل فينا قضاؤه : دعاء، أي نافذ حكم الله فينا عدل قدره.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Your decree is binding upon us, Your justice is executed regarding us: a supplication, meaning Allah's decree is operative over us along with the justice of His destiny.
