(دب) فنّ مُستحدث من فنون الشِّعر، يُنظم باللُّغة الملحونة التي تلتزم تسكينَ أواخر الكلمات، ولا يتقيَّد أحيانًا بقافية واحدة ولا برويّ واحد، بل ينوِّع بينهما.

(دب) نوع من الشِّعر العاميّ، كان العبيد يتغنّوْنَ به في أسفارهم أو في أثناء عملهم، ويقولون في آخر كلّ مقطوعة منه، يا مواليا، إشارة إلى ساداتهم، نشأ في العصر العباسيّ، وهو من بحر البسيط وأجزاؤه : (مستفعلن فاعلن مستفعلن فاعلن) .

(Literature) A type of colloquial poetry chanted by slaves during their travels or while working, saying at the end of each stanza "Ya mawaliya" (Oh masters) as a reference to their masters.
