جج أَمْعُز ومَعِيز، مف ماعِز : (حن) ذوات الشّعر والأذناب القصار من الغنم، خلاف الضَّأن منها، وتتميَّز بقوَّة قوائمها، وصلابة أظفارها التي تمكِّنها من تسلُّق الصُّخور، وإناثُها أصغر قَدًّا من ذكورها، تُربَّى لحليبها وشعرها

🇬🇧 Translation:

Plural أَمْعُز and مَعِيز, singular ماعِز: (Zoology) Short-haired and short-tailed animals of the sheep kind, opposite to sheep, distinguished by the strength of their legs and the hardness of their hooves enabling them to climb rocks, females are smaller in size than males, raised for their milk and hair
