(نف) استعداد جسميّ عقليّ خاصّ فبينما يرجعه القدماء إلى تقلُّب أحد الأخلاط الأربعة وهي : الدم والصفراء والسوداء والبلغم، يرجعه المحدثون إلى تأثير إفرازات الغدد الصمّ كالغدّة الدرقيّة
