نضَبَ يَنضُب وينضِب، نُضوبًا، فهو ناضِب

نفِد، غار في الأرض

• لا حدَّ لكرمِه وعطائه
• نضَب الخيرُ : قلّ، غاب
• نضَب العُمْرُ : نَفِد وانقضى
• نضب عنه البحرُ : انحسر وانكشف
• نضَب ماءُ وجهه : لا يستحي، ذهب حياؤه.

• His generosity and giving have no limits
• Goodness waned: diminished, vanished
• Life came to an end: ran out and passed
• The sea receded from it: drew back and was uncovered
• Lost his facial water [shame]: has no shame left, lost his modesty.
