نكَسه، نزَّله إلى الثُّلث الأخير من العمود لإعلان الحِداد الوطنيّ أو القوميّ أو الاستسلام

نكسه، طأطأه من ذلٍّ أو خزيٍ أو عار

🇬🇧 Translation:

To bow it out of humiliation, fear, or shame

أطال عمرَه فعاد إلى حالٍ كحال الطّفولة في الضَّعف والعجز

🇬🇧 Translation:

To prolong someone's life so that he reverts to a state like childhood in weakness and helplessness
