ج قافِيات وقوافٍ : (عر) آخر جزء في بيت الشِّعر وقد يكون كلمة أو بعض كلمة أو كلمة وبعض أخرى أو كلمتين، وهي من آخر حَرْف ساكن في البيت الشِّعري إلى أوّل ساكن يليه مع المتحرّك الذي قَبْلَه
