رجل من أغنياء بني إسرائيل آتاه اللهُ مالاً وفيرًا فطغى وبغى؛ فأهلكه اللهُ وخسف به وبداره الأرضَ، ويُضرب به المثل في الغنى
🇬🇧 Translation:
Korah (Korah/Qarun); a wealthy man from the Children of Israel to whom God gave abundant wealth, but he grew arrogant and transgressed; so God destroyed him and caused the earth to swallow him and his house, and he is cited as a proverbial example of extreme wealth.
يُضرب بها المثل فيما يُستعظم قدره من نفائس الأموال.
🇬🇧 Translation:
Used proverbially for immensely valued and precious treasures of wealth.

" {قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا يَالَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ قَارُونُ} "
