رهَنَ يَرهَن، رَهْنًا، فهو راهن، والمفعول مَرْهون ورَهين

رهَن الشَّيءَ عند فلان

حَبَسه عنده لينوبَ منابَ الدَّين

Held it with him as a substitute for a debt (To pawn/Pledge).

لكُلّ شيء وقتٌ وأوانٌ

For everything there is a time and season (Pledged/Time-bound).

" رهَن مجوهراتِه/ عقارًا
{كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ} : مرهون مؤاخَذ بالشَّرِّ ومجازَى على الخير "
