تركه وخلاّه.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Left it and abandoned it (To cast away/Abandon).

رمى فلانًا بكذا

أطلق عليه ما يصيبه به

🇬🇧 Translation:

Shot at him what hits him (To shoot/Pelt).

🇬🇧 Translation:

Time shot its arrows at him: Calamities befell him and misfortune clung to him
Threw him with his eye: Looked at him with a mocking glance (To strike/Glance mockingly).

رمى فلانًا بأمر قبيح

قذَفه ونسبه إلى الفاحشة

🇬🇧 Translation:

Slandered him and attributed indecency to him (To accuse/Slander).

🇬🇧 Translation:

Accused him of lying: Told a lie about him
He threw him to the land: Gave him authority and made him ruler over it
He threw himself at him: Paved the way to establish friendship with him (To accuse/Assign).

رمى إلى الشَّيء

قصَده وعناه

🇬🇧 Translation:

Intended and meant it (To aim at/Intend).

رمَى لغايةٍ بعيدة : قصد تحقيق مطلب بعيد المنال.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Aimed very far: Intended to achieve an unattainable demand (To aim high).

" أكل التمر ورمى النّوى
من رمى الناس بما فيهم رموه بما ليس فيه
رمى عليه حجرًا : ألقاه عليه
{وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ. تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ}
{إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ} "

" akala at-tamra wa rama an-nawa
man rama an-nasa bima fihim ramawhu bima laysa fih
rama 'alayhi hajaran : alqahu 'alayh
{وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ. تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ}
{إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ} (He ate the dates and threw the pits
Whoever throws at people what is in them, they will throw at him what is not in him
Threw a stone at him
(And He sent against them birds in flocks, Striking them with stones of hard clay)
(Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress)) "
