ج أَرْماح ورِماح : قضيب طويل في رأسه سِنانٌ أو حربَةٌ يُطعَنُ بها
🇬🇧 Translation:
Plural: armah and rimah : A long rod with a blade or point at its head with which to thrust (Spear/Lance).
- أوقعوا شَرًّا بينهم
- هم على بني فلان رمحٌ واحد : مُتَّحدون عليهم.
🇬🇧 Translation:
- They caused evil between them
- They are one spear against the tribe of so-and-so: united against them (Spear/Unity).
Example / Citation:
- " تأبى الرماحُ إذا اجتمعن تكسُّرًا … وإذا افترقن تكسَّرت آحادا
- {لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ} "

- " ta'ba ar-rimahu idha ijtama'na takassuran ... wa idha iftaraqna takassarat ahada
- {لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ} (Spears refuse to break when gathered together... and when separated they break one by one
- (Allah will surely test you through something of the game that your hands and spears can reach)) "
