سَبْت

ج أسبات (لغير المصدر {وأسبُت} لغير المصدر) وسُبوت (لغير المصدر) : مصدر سبَتَ.

Plural: asbat (for non-verbal noun) and subut (for non-verbal noun) : Verbal noun of sabata (Sabbath/Rest).

السَّبت

أوّل أيّام الأسبوع، يأتي بعد الجمعة، ويليه الأحد

🇬🇧 Translation:

The first day of the week, comes after Friday, and is followed by Sunday (Saturday).

آخر يوم من الصوم الكبير ومن أسبوع الآلام عند المسيحيِّين.

🇬🇧 Translation:

The last day of Lent and Holy Week according to Christians (Holy Saturday).

" {وَاسْأَلْهُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ الْبَحْرِ إِذْ يَعْدُونَ فِي السَّبْتِ} "

when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath) "
