الشَّاذّ من الحديث
(حد) الذي له إسناد واحد يشهد بذلك شيخ ثقة كان أو غير ثقة، فما كان من غير ثقة فمتروك لا يُقبل، وما كان عن ثقة يُتوقّف فيه ولا يحتجّ به.

(Hadith) A hadith that has only one chain of transmission narrated by a reliable (thiqah) or unreliable sheikh; what comes from an unreliable one is abandoned (matruk) and not accepted, and what comes from a reliable one is suspended (tawaqquf) and not used as proof (Anomalous (shadhdh) hadith).
شاذّ الطِّباع
(نف) ما ينحرف عن القاعدة أو النَّمط، وتستعمل صفة للنّمط أو السلوك.
