• شرد نظرُه : تشتّت، ولم يتوقّف عند شيء معيّن
• طفل شارد : تائه، حائر
• فتى شارد : متسكِّع، متشرِّد
• فكر شارد : لا نظام فيه ولا اتِّجاه له.
