ج عَشيَّات وعَشايا : عَشِيّ، وقتٌ يمتدُّ من زوال الشَّمس إلى العتمة، آخر النَّهار، أوّل الظّلام

- عَشِيَّةَ أمس : البارحة.
🇬🇧 Translation:
- Suddenly, in a very short time
- 'Ashiyyata yams: Yesterday evening.
عشِيَ يَعشَى، اعْشَ، عَشًى وعَشَاوةً، فهو أَعْشى

- {كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إلَاّ عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا} "

- "He used to visit us in the late afternoon
- He used to sleep from the late afternoon
- {And do not send away those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening} [Qur'an]
- {It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof}"
