ج أسْياد وسادَة، مؤ سيِّدة :

Plural: asyad and sadah, feminine: sayyidah :

صفة مشبَّهة تدلّ على الثبوت من سادَ/ سادَ على/ سادَ في.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Permanent adjective of sada / sada 'ala / sada fi (Master/Leader).

كُلّ مَنْ افترضت طاعته كالملك والمتولِّي للجماعة الكثيرة، والمولى ذي الخدم والعبيد

Anyone who is obligated to be obeyed, such as a king, the leader of a large group, and the master who has servants and slaves (Leader/Master/Lord).

A title used modernly for any individual as an expression of respect and an assertion of equality (Mr./Sir).

خطاب لمن هو أعلى رتبة
فلانٌ سيِّد نفسه : حرّ التَّصرُّف بأموره.

🇬🇧 Translation:

A form of address for someone of a higher rank
So-and-so is his own master: free to act in his affairs (Master/Sir).

زَوْج؛ صاحب السِّيادة في البيت

Husband; the holder of sovereignty in the house (Husband/Master of the house).

السَّيِّد

اسم من أسماء الله الحسنى، ومعناه : المالِك، الشَّريف، الكريم، الحليم، الرِّئيس، المعين، وسُمّي الله بذلك لأنّه ساد الخلق أجمعين، ولأنّه المُحتاج إليه بالإطلاق.

🇬🇧 Translation:

One of the beautiful names of Allah, and it means: The Owner, The Noble, The Generous, The Clement, The Leader, The Helper, and Allah is named thus because He is the Master of all creation, and because He is the absolutely needed One (The Master/The Lord (Allah)).

السَّيِّدان

الحسن والحُسَيْن ابنا علِيّ رضي الله عنهم.

Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn, the two sons of Ali, may Allah be pleased with them (The two Sayyids (Hasan and Husayn)).

عادات السَّادات سادات العادات
{رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَا} "

" fulanun sayyidu qawmihi
'adatu as-sadati sadatu al-'adati
{rabbana inna ata'na sadatana wakubara'ana fa-adalluna as-sabila} (So-and-so is the leader of his people
The habits of the leaders are the leaders of habits
{Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way}) "
