ترَكَ يَترُك، تَرْكًا، فهو تارِك، والمفعول مَتْروك

خلاّه وشأنه، وانصرف عنه وفارقه

• ترَكَه وشأنه : خلاّه، ولم يتدخل في أمره.

• ترَكَه على حاله : To leave him as he is, unchanged
• ترَكَه وشأنه : To leave him to his own devices, not interfering in his affairs.

هجره وزهد فيه

To abandon and renounce one's work.

خلَّفه، أبقاه إرثًا لمن بعده

🇬🇧 Translation:

To leave behind property or wealth as an inheritance for those after him.

ترَكَ بَصَماته على الشَّيء : ترك فيه أثرًا، طبعه بطابعه.

ترَك بَصَماته على الشَّيء : To leave one's mark on something, to imprint it with one's characteristic.

طرَحه، وأهملَه، وخلاّه لغيره، أغفله

🇬🇧 Translation:

To discard, neglect, leave to someone else, or overlook it.

• عبارة تستعمل للحثّ على التوكُّل على الله
• ترَكَ البابَ مفتوحًا : أتاح فرصة، ترك الأمر معلّقًا دون اتِّخاذ قرار نهائيّ بشأنه
• ترَكَ الحَبْلَ على الغارب/ ترَكَ الحَبْلَ على غاربه [مثل] : ترك الأمرَ يأخذ مجراه دون تدخُّل منه
• تُرِك سُدًى : أُهمِلَ
• ترَكَ له الجمل بما حمل : ترك كل شيء له
• ترَكَه في ذمّته : وكل إليه أمر العناية به
• يأخذه أو يتركه : كما يرغب، يقبله أو يرفضه.

• ترَكَ له الجمل بما حمل : To hand everything over to him
• ترَكََه في ذمّته : To entrust him with its care
• يأخذه أو يتركه : Take it or leave it, as one wishes.

خلاّه مجبرًا مضطرًّا

To depart from it.
