(عر) أن تصبح التفعيلة (فاعلاتن {في قافية كلّ من بحري الخفيف والمجتث} فالاتن) وتنقل إلى مفعولن، أو أن يحذف أحد متحرِّكي الوتد المجموع من (فاعلاتن) .

(Prosody) When the foot (fa'ilatun) {in the rhyme of both the Khafif and Mujtath meters} becomes falatun and is transformed to maf'ulun, or the deletion of one of the moving letters of the combined watad from (fa'ilatun) (Tash'ith (in prosody)).
