نوعٌ من الشِّعر له أسماط وأغصان وأعاريض مختلفة لا يتقيَّد فيها النَّاظم بقافية واحدة، وهو من ابتكار الأندلسيِّين، وقد سُمِّي كذلك لأنه يشبه الوشاح بأشكاله وتطاريزه، وأكثر ما ينتهي عندهم إلى سبعة أبيات.

A type of poetry with varied strophes, branches, and meters where the poet is not bound by a single rhyme. It was invented by the Andalusians, and named thus because it resembles a sash in its shapes and embroidery, mostly culminating in seven stanzas.
