نبيّ من أنبياء بني إسرائيل، وهو يوسف ابن يعقوب بن إسحاق، أوتي النبوّة بمصر بعد كيد إخوته له، وصار عزيزًا لمصر بعد دخوله السِّجن بها، وردت قصته مع إخوته وامرأة العزيز في القرآن الكريم
🇬🇧 Translation:
A prophet among the prophets of the Children of Israel, Joseph the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac. He was granted prophethood in Egypt after the plot of his brothers against him, and became a ruler of Egypt after entering prison there. His story with his brothers and the wife of Al-Aziz is mentioned in the Holy Quran.
اسم سورة من سور القرآن الكريم، وهي السُّورة رقم 12 في ترتيب المصحف، مكِّيَّة، عدد آياتها إحدى عشرة ومائة آية.
🇬🇧 Translation:
The name of a chapter (surah) in the Holy Quran, which is surah number 12 in the arrangement of the Mushaf, Meccan, consisting of one hundred and eleven verses.

- " سِنُو يوسف [مثل] : يضرب بها المثل في القحط والشدّة، وكانت سبعًا متواترة
- رؤيا يوسف [مثل] : تُضرب مثلاً للرؤيا الصحيحة الصادقة
- ذئب يوسف [مثل] : يُضرب لمن يرمي بذنب جناه غيره، وهو بريء الساحة منه
- {لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِ ءَايَاتٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ} "

- رؤيا يوسف [proverb]: used as a proverb for a true and honest dream
- ذئب يوسف [proverb]: used for someone blamed for a crime committed by another while he is innocent
- {لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِ ءَايَاتٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ}"
