ج أَبْآر وآبار وأبْؤُر وبئار :

Plural: ab'ār, ābār, ab'ur, and bi'ār:

حُفْرة عَميقة يُستقى منها الماء، أو يُستخرج منها النِّفط أو الغاز، والشائع تسهيل الهمزة (بير) (مؤنثة وتذكيرها صواب)

A deep hole from which water is drawn, or oil or gas is extracted. The hamza is commonly softened to (bīr). (It is feminine, though treating it as masculine is also correct).

A well formed by seepage water, or a well leading to an underground water stream. Bi'r fawha': wide-mouthed well. Sirruka fi bi'r: Your secret is safe.
