(حي) عَقّمه عن طريق التَّسخين لدرجة 65ْم لمدة نصف ساعة ثمّ التبريد الفجائيّ؛ وذلك لقتل الجراثيم والكائنات الحيّة العضويَّة التي قد تسبّب الأمراض أو التلَّف أو التَّخمّر غير المرغوب فيه (على طريقة العالم الفرنسي باستور)
