مف بَعوضة : (حن) عدّة أجناس من الحشرات الصَّغيرة المضرَّة، من فصيلة البعوض ثنائيّة الأجنحة، تغتذي الإناثُ منها بدم الإنسان وبهذا تنقل إليه عِدّة أمراض، أمّا الذُّكور فتغتذي برحيق الأزهار، له عِدّة أسماء منها النَّاموس والبَقّ
🇬🇧 Translation:
Singular: ba'udhah: (Zoology) several genera of small, harmful insects from the dipteran mosquito family (Culicidae). The females feed on human blood and thereby transmit various diseases to humans, while the males feed on flower nectar. It has several names including namus and baq.
