الحُمَّى الرُّوماتيزميَّة
(طب) مرض مُعْدٍ من أعراضه التهاب المفاصل والحمّى والنزيف في الأنف والطَّفح الجلديّ، وفي الحالات المتقدِّمة تتضخَّم صمامات القلب وينتج عن ذلك تشوُّهات في هذه الصِّمامات، يعالج بالبنسلين مع الرَّاحة التَّامّة لمنع النّكسة والإصابة بمرض روماتيزم القلب.

(طب) مرض فيروسيّ سريع الانتشار بين الحيوانات ذات الظّلف المشقوق، من أعراضه تكوّن فقاعات أو حويصلات مائيّة مليئة بالفيروس على اللسان والشفتين والفم والحلق والمناطق الرقيقة من الجلد، وقد تنتقل هذه الفيروسات عبر الهواء لتصيب الإنسان والحيوان
