ج أجمال وأجْمُل وجِمال وجَمَالة وجُمَالة وجِمالة وجُمْل، جج جِمالات وجُمَالات وجَمالات وجمائلُ، مؤ ناقة، ج مؤ نُوق ونِيَاق : (حن) ذكر الإبل إذا تجاوز الرابعة وقيل السابعة، وقيل الثامنة، وهو من رتبة الحافريّات المجترَّة، ومنه ما هو ذو سَنَامَيْنِ

Pl. ajmāl, ajmul, jimāl, jamāla, jumāla, jimāla, juml, pl. pl. jimālāt, jumālāt, jamālāt, jamā'il, fem. nāqa, pl. fem. nūq, niyāq: (Zoo) A male camel when it exceeds four years of age (some say seven or eight), belonging to the order of ruminant artiodactyls, some of which are two-humped (Bactrian).

جَمَل وحيد السِّنام يُستخدم للحمل في غرب آسيا وإفريقيا
الجمل في شيء والجمّال في شيء [مثل] : يُضرب للاثنين لا يعلم أحدهما ما يدور في خلد الآخر ويشغل باله
ما له ناقة ولا جمل : لا دخل له في الأمر.

A dromedary (single-humped camel) used for burden in Western Asia and Africa
The camel is in one thing and the camel-driver in another [Proverb]: Said of two people where neither knows what is passing in the other's mind; He has neither a she-camel nor a he-camel in it: He has nothing to do with the matter.

من الأيّام المشهورة وقيل له ذلك لأنّ عائشة رضي الله عنها غزت عليًّا على جمل فلمّا هزم أصحابها ثبت منهم قوم يحمون الجمل الذي كانت عليه.

🇬🇧 Translation:

One of the famous historical days (battles), named so because Aisha (may God be pleased with her) confronted Ali riding a camel; when her companions were defeated, a group of them stood firm protecting the camel she was on.
