لَيْلَة

ج لَيْلات ولَيَلات ولَيَالٍ : واحدة الليل، وهي من غروب الشمس إلى طلوعها، يقابلها يوم

Pl. لَيْلات (lailāt), لَيَلات (layalāt), and لَيَالٍ (layālin); A single night, from sunset to sunrise, opposed to day

لَيْلَةُ التَّمام : ليلة اكتمال القمر، وهي ليلة أربع عشرة من الشهر القمريّ
لَيْلَةُ القدر : هي الليلة التي نزل فيها القرآن الكريم، وهي في الليالي الوتر من العشر الأواخر من شهر رمضان المبارك
لَيْلَةُ الميلاد : هي الليلة التي ولد فيها سيِّدنا عيسى عليه السلام لَيْلَةٌ بيضاءُ
لَيْلَةٌ حمراءُ : ماجنة
ما بين يومٍ ولَيْلَة : في وقت قصير جدًّا.

The opening night of a theatrical production
ليلة التمام (Night of fullness): The night of the full moon, the fourteenth night of the lunar month
ليلة القدر (The Night of Decree): The night the Quran was revealed, falling on the odd nights of the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan
ليلة الميلاد (Christmas Eve): The night Jesus, peace be upon him, was born
ليلة بيضاء / ليلة حمراء (White night / Red night): A dissolute/wild night
ما بين يوم وليلة (In a day and a night): In a very short time.
