(سف) فرقة كبيرة من المسلمين اجتمعوا على حبّ على بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه وآله، وعلى أنّه كان أحقَّ بالخلافة من أبي بكر رضي الله عنه، وأنّ الخلافة يجب أن تكون في أولاده من بعده.

(Philosophy) A large sect of Muslims who gathered on the love of Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, and his family, and that he was more entitled to the caliphate than Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, and that the caliphate must be in his descendants after him (The Shia/Shiites).
