سكَنَ/ سكَنَ بـ/ سكَنَ في يَسكُن، سَكَنًا وسُكْنى، فهو ساكِن، والمفعول مَسْكون

Root: س ك ن

سكَن المكانَ/ سكَن بالمكانِ/ سكَن في المكانِ

أقام به واستوطنه

🇬🇧 Translation:

Resided and settled there (To dwell/Reside).

- مكان مسكون/ بيت مسكون : تسكنه الأشباح (حسب اعتقاد بعض العامّة) .

🇬🇧 Translation:

- makan maskun/ baytun maskunun : haunted (according to the belief of some common people) (Haunted).

" كان يسكُن الرِّيفَ
{وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْكُنُوا هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ}
{لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ مَسْكُونَةٍ فِيهَا مَتَاعٌ لَكُمْ} "

🇬🇧 Translation:

" kana yaskunu ar-rifa
{wa'idh qila lahumu iskunoo hadhihi al-qaryata}
{laysa 'alaykum junahun an tadkhulu buyutan ghayra maskunatin fiha mata'un lakum} (He used to live in the countryside
And [mention, O Muhammad], when it was said to them, "Dwell in this city"
There is no blame upon you for entering houses not inhabited in which there is convenience for you) "
