(نت) نبات عُشْبيّ من الفصيلة الزنجباريّة هنديّ الأصل، لونه أخضر مائل إلى الصُّفرة له عروق تسري في الأرض، وهو من التّوابل المُهضِّمة، وله أنواع عديدة منها البّريَّة والطّبيَّة والزّراعيّة

(Botany) A herbaceous plant of the Zingiberaceae family of Indian origin, its color is yellowish-green and has veins that creep in the ground. It is a digestive spice, and it has many types, including wild, medical, and agricultural (Ginger).
اسم عين في الجنة فيها طعم الزَّنْجَبيل

The name of a spring in Paradise that has the taste of ginger (Ginger spring (Zanjabil)).

" {وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنْجَبِيلاً} : كانت العرب تستلذّ من الشّراب ما يُمزَج بالزَّنجبيل لطيب رائحته، فوعدهم الله بما اعتقدوه نهاية النّعمة "

" {wayusqawna fiha ka'san kana mizajuha zanjabila} : kanati al-'arabu tastalidhhu min ash-sharabi ma yumzaju bi-zanjabili litibi ra'ihatihi, fawa'adahumu allahu bima i'taqaduhu nihayata an-ni'mah (And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger : The Arabs used to relish a drink mixed with ginger for its pleasant aroma, so Allah promised them what they considered the ultimate blessing) "
