أرض السَّواد
اسم أطلق على الأرض الرّسوبيّة على ضفاف نهري دجلة والفرات.

An animal whose appearance is considered one of the portents of the Hour or its first signs, namely the termite mentioned by Allah Almighty in the story of Solomon, peace be upon him.
علم الأَرْض
(جو) علم يبحث في طبقات الأَرْض وتكوينها وتطوُّرها، ويسمَّى علم الجيولوجيا.

(Geo) The science that studies the layers of the earth, its formation, and evolution, called geology.
لُبُّ الأرض
(جو) النطاق الصخريّ المحيط بسطح الأرض من داخلها، قلب الأرض الكثيف الذي يتكوّن منه أغلب كتلتها.
