خطُّ الاسْتِواء
(جغ) دائرة عرض وهميّة حول الكرة الأرضيّة على بُعد واحد من القطبين، تقسم الأرضَ إلى نصفين شماليّ وجنوبيّ، يتساوى اللَّيلُ والنَّهارُ عنده طول السنة.

خطُّّ الزَّوال
(جغ) خطّ الطول، وهو الذي يصل بين القطبين الشَّماليّ والجنوبيّ، وتقاس خطوط الطول عادة بالنسبة لخطّ الصفر المارّ بخطّ جرينتش، وهو خط وهميّ مهم في حساب التوقيت، يفصل مناطق خطوط الطول الشرقيّة عن مناطق خطوط الطول الغربيّة.

خطُّ الطُّول
(جغ) خطٌّ وهميّ على سطح الكرة الأرضيّة من ثلاثمائة وستين خطًّا، يمتد بين القطب الشَّماليّ والقطب الجنوبيّ ويتعامد على خطّ الاستواء، يعبّر عنه بالدرجات أو بالساعات والدقائق والثواني.

خطُّ العَرْض
(جغ) خطّ وهميّ يقسم الكرة الأرضيّة عرضًا ويوازي خطّ الاستواء شمالاً وجنوبًا.

خطُّ الإرسال
(رض) خطّ تحديد لا يجب تجاوزه أو تخطِّيه أثناء استهلال ضرب الكرة، كما في التنس أو كرة اليد.
