جج أعظُم وعِظام، مف عَظْمَة :

مَنْ جعل نفسه عَظْمًا أكلتْه الكِلابُ : تُقَال لِمَنْ كان متساهلاً لئلَاّ يغدو فريسةَ الأشرار
نخِر العَظْمُ : بلِي وتفتَّت.

دقَّ العظمَ : broke the bone
رقَّت عظامه : he grew old
مَنْ جعل نفسه عَظْمًا أكلتْه الكِلابُ (Whoever makes himself a bone gets eaten by dogs): Said of someone overly submissive who falls prey to evil people
نخِر العَظْمُ : the bone decayed and crumbled.

(شر) كلُّ قطعة صلبة أو جزء صلب من هيكل حيوان فقاريّ

لِين العِظام

(طب) مرضٌ يُصيب العِظام ناتج عن فقدان فيتامين (د) ، وأعراضه في الأطفال ليونة العظام وتقوّس الأرجل وتشوُّهات في الصدر والحوض.

فحْم العِظام

(كم) سماد فسفوريّ ينتج من حرق العظام في وعاء مسدود بمعزل عن الهواء.

(Chemistry & Pharmacy) A phosphate fertilizer produced by burning bones in a closed container isolated from air (Bone char).
