الحَجَر الأسود

حجر في أحد أركان الكعبة يستلمه الحُجَّاج عند طوافهم وكان دُرَّة بيضاء فسوَّدته ذنوب البشر.

🇬🇧 Translation:

The Black Stone located in one of the corners of the Kaaba, touched by pilgrims during Tawaf. It was originally a white gemstone, but human sins blackened it.

الحجر الطِّينيّ

(جو) صخر مشكَّل من الصَّلصال أو الطِّين ذو لون رماديّ غامق، يتحلّل إلى طين عند تعريضه للهواء.

حجر القصدير

حجر جِيريّ

حجر رَمْليّ

(جو) صخر رسوبيّ مكوَّن من حُبيبات الرَّمل الملتحمة بعضها ببعض بشدّة بواسطة موادّ لاصقة طبيعيّة مثل : السيليكا، أو كربونات الكالسيوم، أو أكسيد الحديد.

(كم) مغناطيس طبيعيّ تكوّن من معدن المغنتيت وهو أكسيد الحديد الأسود المغناطيسيّ.

حجر رشيد

لوح من البازلت يحمل نقوشًا بالهيروغليفيَّة المصريَّة، واليونانيَّة وكتابات ديموطيّة (ذو علاقة بالخطِّ المصريّ القديم) استُعمل في الحياة اليوميَّة، اكتشف عام 1799 بالقرب من بلدة رشيد.

A basalt slab bearing inscriptions in Egyptian hieroglyphs, Greek, and Demotic scripts (related to ancient Egyptian writing) used in daily life, discovered in 1799 near the town of Rashid (Rosetta).

الأحجار الكريمة

أحجار نادرة غالية الثَّمن، لها ألوان تبلغ من الجمال واللمعان حدًّا يؤهلها لأن تكون حُليًّا، ومنها : الماس، الياقوت، الزمرّد وغيرها.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Precious stones; rare, expensive stones with colors of such beauty and luster that qualify them to be jewelry, including diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and others.

حجر النَّارجيلة

الجزء من النارجيلة الذي يوضع فيه التَّبغ المراد تدخينه، وهو فُخاريّ غالبًا.

The bowl of the nargileh (water pipe) where the tobacco to be smoked is placed, usually made of clay.

حَجَر الأساس

حجر يوضع إيذانًا ببدء إنشاء بناءٍ ما.
