اليَمين اللَّغْو
(فق) ما يحلف عليه الشَّخص ظانًّا أنّه كذا وهو بخلافه، أو ما ورد على اللِّسان بغير قصد.

(Islamic Jurisprudence) An oath sworn by a person believing it to be true while it is otherwise, or an oath that slips off the tongue unintentionally.
اليَمين القَضائيَّة
(قن) اليَمين التي تتمّ أمام القضاء، وهي نوعان : حاسمة وهي التي يوجِّهها خصم إلى خصمه ليحسم بها النِّزاع، ومتمِّمة وهي التي توجِّهها المحكمة من تلقاء نفسها إلى أحد الخصوم.
Translation:
(Law) An oath taken before a court, which is of two types: decisive (directed by one litigant to the other to settle the dispute) and supplementary (directed by the court on its own initiative to one of the litigants).
يمين الأمانة
(قن) اليَمين التي كان القاضي يلي تحليفها المدَّعي أو المدَّعى عليه كلّما استشعر أنّ واحدًا منهما يفعل أو يهمل شيئًا غدرًا.
Translation:
(Law) An oath that a judge used to administer to the plaintiff or defendant whenever he sensed that either of them was acting or omitting something treacherously.
يمين المبرَّة
(قن) اليَمين التي كان يحلفها الخصمان تلو انتصاب الخصومة، أي أنّهما أقاماها اعتقادًا بصدقها ويواصلانها بلا خيانة.
Translation:
(Law) An oath sworn by the litigants immediately upon the initiation of a lawsuit, signifying that they brought it in good faith and would pursue it without fraud.
اليَمين الدُّستوريَّة
(قن) القسم الذي يتعهّد فيه رئيس الجمهوريّة قُبَيْل تسلُّمه الحكم بالمحافظة على الدستور.

(Law) The constitutional oath by which the President of the Republic pledges, shortly before assuming power, to uphold the constitution.
