Translation:
The time you are in (present moment).

Translation:
  • Immediately

ظرف أو وضع
Translation:
Circumstance or condition.
  • قطّ، أبدًا، في أيّ ظرف
  • بقِيَ على حاله : استمرّ ولم يتغيّر
  • على أيّ حالٍ/ على كلّ حالٍ/ على أيّة حالٍ : مهما يكن الأمر، أيًّا كانت الظُّروف

Translation:
  • Ever, never, under any circumstance

  • In any case/anyway/at any rate: whatever the matter may be, whatever the circumstances

وقت
Translation:
Time, when.
(بغ) أمرٌ داعٍ إلى إيراد الكلام الفصيح على وجه مخصوص وكيفيّة معيّنة.
Translation:
A circumstance necessitating the delivery of eloquent speech in a specific manner and particular way.
(جو) كيفيّة سريعة الزوال من نحو حرارة وبرودة ورطوبة عارضة
Translation:
A transient quality such as temporary heat, cold, and humidity.
ما يتّصل بالطقس من حرارة وبرودة ورياح .. إلخ.
Translation:
Weather-related heat, cold, winds, etc.
(نف) هيئة نفسيّة في أوّل حدوثها قبل أن ترسخ فإذا رسخت فهي ملكة.
Translation:
A psychological state at its inception before it takes root; once rooted, it becomes a faculty (malakah).

(نح) الزَّمان الحاضر خلاف الماضي والمستقبل.
Translation:
The present tense/time, as opposed to the past and future.
(نح) لفظٌ يبيَّن الهيئة التي عليها الشَّيء عند ملابسة الفعل له واقعًا منه أو عليه، مثل جاء محمّدٌ مسرورًا فـ (مسرورًا) حال محمّد وقت مجيئه.
Translation:
State/Circumstantial accusative (Hal): A term clarifying the condition of a thing when the verb occurs by it or upon it, such as 'Muhammad came joyfully', where 'joyfully' is the state of Muhammad at the time of his arrival.
حال الشَّيء
صفته وهيئته وكيفيته
Translation:
Its attribute, form, and modality.

  • حالة حرب : في حرب
  • حالة طوارئ : إجراءات خاصّة لحفظ الأمن تُعلن عند وقوع أحداث أو خطر أو حرب أو اضطرابات
  • سُوء الحالة : وضع سيِّئ
  • لسان الحال : ما دلّ على حالة الشّيء وكيفيّته من ظواهر أمره.
Translation:
  • Preparedness and anticipation
  • State of war: at war
  • State of emergency: special security measures declared upon events, danger, war, or unrest
  • Bad condition: a poor situation
  • State of affairs (lisan al-hal): what indicates the state and condition of a thing from its outward manifestations.
حال الإنسان
ما يختصّ به من أموره المتغيّرة الحسيّة والمعنويّة
Translation:
His specific changing physical and abstract matters.
  • الحالة الشَّخصيَّة : هي علاقة المواطن بغيره عائليًّا واجتماعيًّا
  • الحالة المدنيَّة : هي وضع الإنسان في المجتمع من حيث تاريخ الولادة ومكانها والزواج والطلاق
  • بقِيَ على حاله : استمرّ ولم يتغيّر
  • راح إلى حال سبيله/ مضى إلى حال سبيله : مضى في طريقه، لم يزل سائرًا
  • رَقَّ حاله : ساءت أوضاعه، وقلّ ماله، افتقر
  • قعَد في حاله : قعد صامتًا
  • لسان حاله يقول : تدلّ على حاله، يستدلّ من حاله أنّه، المعبر عن رأي أو أفكار شخص أو هيئة.
Translation:
  • Personal status: A citizen's relationship with others familially and socially
  • Civil status: A person's standing in society regarding date and place of birth, marriage, and divorce
  • Remained as he was: continued unchanged
  • Went his own way: proceeded on his path, kept walking
  • His condition softened/worsened: his situation worsened, his money diminished, he became poor
  • Sat quietly: sat silently
  • His condition speaks: indicates his state, it is inferred from his state that he..., expressing the opinion or ideas of a person or body.
قانون الأحوال الشَّخصيَّة
(قن) قانون ينظم علاقة الفرد بالأسرة من نكاح وطلاق وميراث ونحوها.
Translation:
Personal Status Law: A law regulating the individual's relationship with the family regarding marriage, divorce, inheritance, and the like.
